A Bunch of Amateurs

In this laugh-out-loud comedy, a fading Hollywood actor, desperate to save his career, agrees to star in a production of King Lear. Believing he will be playing alongside the RSC in the birthplace of Shakespeare himself, he discovers that he will actually be performing in the Suffolk village of Stratford St John with an amateur dramatics group that is… well, very amateur.
Cue egos, chaos, and plenty of Shakespearean shenanigans as they try to put on the play of a lifetime!

If you are interested in auditioning, join us for our information night on Tuesday 11th March at 7.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Lavenham Road, Southfields, SW18 5EP.
- Information night: Tuesday 11th March, 7:30pm
- Auditions: Sunday 16th (afternoon/evening, times TBC) and Tuesday 18th (7:30-10pm) March
- Recalls: Thursday 20th March (from 7:30pm)
- First rehearsal: Thursday 27th March (7:30-10pm)
- Performances: Wednesday 14th to Saturday 17th May 2025
