Sweeney Todd is the infamous tale of a barber, unjustly exiled, who returns to nineteenth century London to seek vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber shop. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of a new ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up…

With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwarz, Pippin follows a mysterious performance troupe, led by the Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.
