Written by Bill Naughton in 1963, the story of Alfie Elkins and the many women who come into his life was famously portrayed on film by both Michael Caine in 1966 and Jude Law in 2004. We like to think we knew what it was all about, and considered it a great pick for our May play spot at St Barnabas Church – so did our audiences!
