We Will Rock You

Set in a futuristic, conformist society, where individuality and rock music are outlawed by the powerful Globalsoft corporation, We Will Rock You follows the story of Galileo, a young man who hears the lost lyrics of rock anthems in his head. Joining a group of rebels – the “Bohemians” – who are determined to bring back music and fight the tyranny of Globalsoft, Galileo discovers he is destined to fulfill a prophecy and return rock ‘n’ roll to the world!

After a successful inaugural concert back in 2023, Cygnet Players are delighted to bring back Cygnet Proms in 2026. Like last time, this will be a concert to showcase an orchestra of talented musicians involved in the amateur theatre circuit, accompanied by a choir of singers.
The theme of this year’s Proms will be “musicals through the ages”, with Act 1 focussing on the golden/classic era and Act 2 exploring more contemporary repertoire and Act 3 with modern musicals including this year’s Golden Globe-winning “Golden” from K-Pop Demon Hunters.

We invite you into the raw, electric moment when seventeen hopefuls are called to audition for the coveted spot in a new musical’s chorus. From the nervous tremor of “I Hope I Get It” to the soaring unity of “One,” the show captures the triumphs and heartbreaks that define every artist’s journey.
The musical celebrates the courage it takes to step into the spotlight, even if only for a fleeting moment. It’s a tribute to the dreamers who keep Broadway alive, reminding us that every dancer’s story matters – no matter how brief the role.
