Cygnet Proms 2026

Thurs 30th Apr – Sat 2nd May, 2026
St Barnabas Church , Southfields

After a successful inaugural concert back in 2023, Cygnet Players are delighted to bring
back Cygnet Proms in 2026. Like last time, this will be a concert to showcase an orchestra of talented musicians involved in the amateur theatre circuit, accompanied by a choir of singers. The theme of this year’s Proms will be “musicals through the ages”, with Act 1
focussing on the golden/classic era and Act 2 exploring more contemporary repertoire and Act 3 with modern musicals including this year’s Golden Globe-winning “Golden” from K-Pop Demon Hunters.

Radium Girls

Weds 15th – Sat 18th May, 2024 – St. Barnabas Church, Southfields

Cygnet Players are thrilled to be performing D.W. Gregory’s gripping drama based on the true story of female labourers who were poisoned and killed by their factory’s radium-based paint.

AUDITIONS AND CASTING

There is an audition fee of £10 if you are not a current paid-up member of Cygnet Players. This can be paid at audition in cash, or by card, or please let us know if you wish to make a bank transfer in advance. If you are successful and are cast, you must then become a member of the society and your £10 audition fee will be deducted from your show fee. If you are already a member, you will not need to pay an audition fee.

Membership is £35 a year if you pay as a one-off, or only £30 when you set up a standing order. This lets you audition for both our musicals within that year, and our annual play. It also gives you members’ rates to our social events.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

We are committed to making this an inclusive and diverse production which showcases the talents of our society and which gives each and every member of the cast a moment to shine. As such, there will be opportunities for singers and dancers of all genders, ethnicities and ages!
